How do I change the bitrate of an MP3?
Upload the MP3, keep MP3 as the output format, pick a bitrate from 64 to 320 kbps and click Convert. The converted file downloads with the new bitrate.
Does converting to 320 kbps improve audio quality?
No. Converting a 128 kbps MP3 to 320 kbps makes the file larger but cannot restore detail that was removed when it was first compressed. Use 320 kbps when converting from a lossless source such as WAV or FLAC.
Which bitrate should I choose?
128 kbps is fine for speech and podcasts, 192 kbps suits most music, and 256 to 320 kbps gives the best quality for music you care about. Lower bitrates make smaller files.
